Self-Reporting CEUs

Beginning January 1, 2008, ASID began notifying ALL Practitioner members via both printed and electronic methods that they – both Allied and Professional members – are required to complete six (6) hours of continuing education units (CEUs*) every two (2) years to retain their ASID membership as per the Society's By-Laws (Article VII, Section 1, Item 1). The first two-year reporting period ends December 31, 2009 (and the second two-year reporting period will begin on January 1, 2010, and so on).

It is the responsibility of each ASID Practitioner member to maintain personal files documenting successful completion of their continuing education coursework. This documentation/file for each course or program should be kept for four years from the date of course completion. If you are selected for an audit, you must present ASID with your verification of attendance or the completion certificate for all coursework. IMPORTANT: Members MUST certify compliance through online self-reporting. It is incredibly easy to do. You do NOT need to mail in a list of your completed courses to ASID. You do NOT even need to type in the completed course names, dates, details, etc. anywhere on the ASID website. All you have to do is just check a box on the ASID website.
