Legacy of Design Awards

The Legacy of Design Awards Celebration, the annual competition recognizing the finest interior design achievements within the Texas Chapter, was again held in conjunction with METROCON Expo & Conference. This annual event is a wonderful time when all members – Practitioners, Industry Partners, and Students alike – can meet, reconnect, energize, and celebrate with their family and friends. In an energetic atmosphere perfect for socializing and reconnecting, ASID Texas Chapter celebrated its members’ achievements and thank them for their support throughout the 2008-2009 year.


THE EVENT & ITS SPONSORS

Media Sponsor LUXE magazine hosted the Legacy of Design Awards Celebration on Friday, August 14, 2009, at Studios 1019, Dallas' hottest new event venue. Don Ross Nabb Products provided the delicious nibbles, while Twin Liquors Fine Wine & Spirits served up refreshing sips. Tim Valis Photography captured the excitement of the evening, which was set within a stunning backdrop with florals provided by Freesia and furnishings provided by Global Views,  Gardens and Positive Space. Dallas Sight and Sound allowed the Chapter to highlight the evening's Shining Stars and Rising Stars winners, who were sponsored by Morrison Supply Company and Elegante Iron, respectively. Outside, Lone Star Valet provided complimentary valet parking to the evening's guests. It was certainly a night to remember, and we thank all of the event's sponsors, as well as the dedicated team of ASID volunteer members who made everything happen. COMPETITION INFORMATION RECAP

The 2009 competition criteria and categories were announced via an email to all ASID Texas Chapter Practitioners on Friday, February 20, 2009, as well as two other emails and a front-page article in the Spring issue of the ASID Texas Chapter quarterly newsletter, Design Texas. Entries were due into the ASID Texas Chapter office by 4:00pm on Thursday, May 21, 2009. Entry packets were available via downloading on this Legacy webpage, as well as via mail from Chapter Administrator, Pat Gallagher, per request. Watch for the 2010 Legacy of Design Awards to be announced mid-February of 2010.
